Punch biopsy - Potential skin cancer..?

I used to work at a famous Cancer Center in the Operating Room. The mole removal is a simple procedure. The "punch" biopsy is a small instrument that is round and used to get a sample of the mole. The instrument is placed on the skin and pressed into the mole. You will have stitches and a bandage. It depends on how much of the area around the mole that is removed. Sometimes, they do what is called a "frozen section" but only if this procedure is being done in a hospital. In a frozen section, they send the specimen to the pathology department and they can tell in a couple minutes if it looks like cancer. If it is, they take some of the surrounding tissue. It sounds like you're having a simple biopsy and it shouldn't be a real problem. Just a couple stitches that will heal in a couple weeks. DD, RN

Question about Ear Lobe Piercing?

If you get your ear lobe pierced then after 6 weeks you take out the studs you chose for them to pierce it, do you get a pair of post earrings? If so you have to wear them for 6 months? Just those earrings? Or can you also switch them around like wear the earrings you began with then switch to the new post ones? Thanks.

Should Carrie Be Hated Because She's Beautiful?

Neither; she should be hated because she's a horrible person; though if she's not, she will most likely not be hated.

What is wrong with profiling of people for criminal activity?

Profiling of people based on behaviors and some other attributes should be used when looking for criminal activity. A person traveling alone on an airplane without luggage on a one-way flight should be suspected and given a more thorough security inspection than an elderly couple with a round trip ticket. A person who can not speak English would be more likely to be an illegal immigrant than someone who is fluent. A person dressed like a hoodlum flashing gang signals in an upper class neighborhood looks out of place and should be investigated. The same with a well dressed person with a luxury vehicle in the ghetto. So why are people so against profiling that we end up treating everyone as criminals?
