How long until i can change earrings in my cartilage?

Hola, so i got a double helix piercing (outside, top of cartilage), and i was wondering how long do i need to wait until i can safely change earrings without the piercing closing up. I do not intend to leave the earrings out for a long time, only to quickly switch them to another pair i think looks better. I have been taking good care of the piercings area and have not had any problems so far.
