I have MAC's Craving lipstick and I need help on what lip gloss to pair it with to make it toned down.?

It's an amplified cream lipstick and it's so bright and I was wondering what color lip gloss I should pair it with to tone it down more. I was thinking a nude lip gloss to counteract with the bright pink but I don't know if that would work.
